British-born artist Ivan Lovatt has created this new series of portrait busts by layering, twisting & mangling chicken wire.
His work is currently on exhibition at the Jackman gallery in Melbourne, Australia.
The sculptures range from $9,000 to $18,000 a pop. Not bad for twisted chicken wire.

In Antarctica (if you know where to look) you will find these strange formations that look like giant waves frozen in place. Actually, these beautiful formations are caused by glaciers and earthquakes. Over time, snow compacts into a single frozen mass and the increasing pressure squeezes all of the air out of the ice. Since blue is the only color of the spectrum that air-free ice reflects, that is where the color comes from.

The dolphin was lying on a humpback whale ’s head while it was slowly swimming along. Looking through my camera lens the stunt appeared to be orchestrated by mutual “agreement.” The whale very slowly—and vertically—lifted the dolphin into the air.

Eduardor Relero has made these amazing chalk drawings in the streets of Spain. However, this don't look like your average Julian Beever drawings, each one could contain a hidden message about poverty or death such as "Amnesty International", but I'm stumped for what these pictures could mean. I especially like the rich man or women holding the gun, it took me a while to see that. I also like the baby head and the skull drawings because they're done so well! I appreciate the skull one more though, because if you look closely at the background the sun appears to be right above the drawing, but the drawing itself seems to create its own light source. How amazing is that?
