Gisteren eindelijk de streamium np2500 ontvangen. Ziet er gelikt uit, kleuren schermpje helemaal goed. Jammer dat ik toch wat problemen met het zaakje had. Before you exclaim "Photoshop!", this is a real photo by Dmitry Avdeev. However, it's not a real A380: it's a 1/3 scale model, which makes it the biggest aircraft replica in the world. So big, in fact, that its 87-feet wingspan is 3 feet and 4 inches wider than a real Concorde. Seeing it completely built in video gives you an idea of its gigantic scale.

Without a doubt, the Lego brick storage buildings were the most impressive part of my visit to Lego. When I first saw their 65.6-foot high ceilings, with multiple giant robots going up and down retrieving boxes full of bricks, I felt like I entered the Matrix. Below the thunderous noise of the flying machines, I heard myself shouting: "It's a cathedral." And as you will see in the video, with a total 65.6 square-miles of shelf space—900 million pieces at any given time—they are indeed The Lego Cathedrals. I was in total awe, and the amazement didn't stop there. When they started to explain the capacity of these storage areas, designed to accomodate the 19-Billion-piece-per-year production, I realized the unbelievable scale of all this. When it comes to home theaters, I thought I'd seen it all. But nothing's come close to this. First, I'm going to try to describe the sheer magnitude of Jeremy Kipnis' theater. His Stewart Snowmatte laboratory-grade screen is the biggest I've ever seen in a home, and in the back of the theater, there's a Sony ultra-high-resolution (4,096-by-2,160) SRX-S110 digital projector. I'm looking everywhere, jotting down questions, and Kipnis sounds almost giddy talking about his theater's capabilities. Hij benadrukte dat de loterij de adressen heeft gekregen van de firma WDM Nederland, die op haar beurt zegt de adressen te hebben gekregen van MCLS een ander marketingbedrijf "We moeten er vanuit kunnen gaan dat WDM de bestanden goed en netjes heeft verkregen." De adressen zijn afkomstig van een waarzegster Maria Duval. De adressen zijn van mensen die een antwoordcoupon opstuurden naar deze astrologe. Volgens de Staatsloterij gaat het om 8000 adressen. "Die zullen we niet meer gebruiken voor dit doel", zo zei de woordvoerder. Een woordvoerster van WDM zei dat er nu gekeken moet worden waar het fout is gegaan. "De branchevereniging DDMA heeft regels voor het verhuren van adressen", zei ze. De DDMA onderzoekt dat nu.

We've all seen those mug shot arrays showing the sad progression of an arrestee caught in the throes of drug abuse. Well, here's the flip side. The Florida woman seen in the photos below has had her mug shot snapped five times over the past 14 months (drunk driving, pot possession, probation violation, etc.) and each picture is suitable for framing. The frequent arrestee is 20 and has alternately listed her occupation as "bartender" and "dancer" when busted. And based on police ID photos of her ink, she appears to be a tattoo enthusiast

I am not a fan of Booth Babes. That's not to say that I'm not a fan of the female form, but I find being tricked into liking some mediocre gadget because a girl in a bikini top is standing next to it pretty insulting.
